With its over 2 million exhibits documenting the development of nature and society in a broadly conceived Central European context, the Museum of the Pilsen Region is one of the largest museums in the Czech Republic. Its collections include a collection of firearms from the Pilsen Municipal Armory that date to the late 14th through 17th centuries and represent a unique collection in the European context.
